1 Thess 4:1-8
Living to Please God
The apostle reminds the Thessalonians of the clear instructions he gave on how to live to please God. While Paul was thankful for the growth he saw in the Thessalonians, but still desired for them to more in a walk that would please God.
This is not just Paul's advice as a religious leader. These are the words and desires of our Lord Jesus himself.
#1 The will of God is your sanctification
Some think it is an experience of cleansing and commitment entered once for all. Once they have been washed, they feel, everything is fine.
The idea behind sanctification is to be set apart, and God wants us set apart from a godless culture
This means its never finished until we cross over to eternity.
The word sanctification is almost the same as the word that is translated holiness in this passage. It comes from the same root. The good English word wholeness, which also derives from the same root.
Everybody wants to be a whole person.
Psalm 29:2 speaks about the beauty of holiness. It is the inner attractiveness that is evident outside when someone begins to function inwardly as he or she was intended.
God designed beautiful people. And not merely outwardly beautiful people, but inwardly beautiful people.
He is more interested in making admirable, trustworthy, strong, loving, compassionate people. That is what God calls wholeness, and that is his will for you.
#2 Moral Purity
Paul says about such wholeness is that it includes moral purity. To abstain from immorality.
Moral purity is part of wholeness.
one cannot be a whole person if indulged in sexual immorality. Words like immorality do not seem to register with many people.
Those who do not know God do not have the spiritual resources to walk pure before the Lord; but Christians do. Therefore, we should live differently than those who do not know God.
When we are sexually immoral, we take advantage of and defraud others and we cheat them in greater ways than we can imagine.
1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.
So to "flee immorality" means to have none of those things going on in your life.
#3 Be Restored
If, even as a Christian, we might have messed up, the Word of God makes very clear that we can be restored.
If we acknowledge that we have done wrong and accept God's forgiveness through Christ. You will be whole again.
What glorious, good news that is! In his instructions to these Christians in Thessalonica, Paul had given them two major steps to achieve moral purity.
If you are serious about being a whole person, about wanting to find the wholeness, the inner beauty that God provides for you, start walking in these two steps today.
The first one is, learn to control your own body.
The second on is that you must no longer let your own desires take first priority in life
Dear Brother and Sister
You are not your own (1 Corinthians 6:19,20) you no longer belong to yourself. You must no longer let your own desires take priority in life.
You are bought with a price. Jesus died on your behalf, in your place. You belong to him
He has invaded our being by the Holy Spirit, and the purpose of our lives has been dramatically transformed. We are to live no longer for ourselves but for him who died for us and was raised again from the dead.
Let us pray:
Dear God, help us restore our priority, morality and help us to live a life of wholeness. Holy spirit invade our hearts today. In Jesus Name. Amen.

தெசலோனிக்கேயர்களின் விசாரணையின் போது பவுல் அவர்களுடன் இருக்க விரும்பினார், அவரால் செல்ல முடியாததால், பவுலுடன் நம்பகமான தோழனாகவும் சக ஊழியராகவும் இருந்த தீமோத்தேயுவை அனுப்ப முடிவு செய்தார். [ 1 டெஸ் 2:17-19 ]
பவுல் அவரை 2 காரணங்களுக்காக அனுப்பினார் - தெசலோனிக்கரை நிறுவவும் ஊக்குவிக்கவும். இருப்பினும், மற்றொரு காரணமும் இருந்தது.
#1 வார்த்தையை கொண்டு வருவது
பவுல் தீமோத்தேயுவை அவர்களிடம் அனுப்பிய மூன்றாவது காரணம், என்ன நடக்கிறது என்பதை அவரே தெரிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும் என்பதே. திமோதி அவரை மீண்டும் வார்த்தைக்கு கொண்டு வருவார்.
பவுலின் பெரும் நிம்மதிக்கு, அவருடைய வேலை வீண் போகவில்லை. அது உறுதியாகவும் உறுதியாகவும் நின்றது. அவர்களுடைய நம்பிக்கை அப்படியே இருந்தது; அவர்களின் காதல் தெளிவாக இருந்தது; மேலும், எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக, கடவுள் மீது அவர்களின் நம்பிக்கை பாதுகாப்பானது.

#2 நற்செய்தியின் விளைவு
பெலவீனத்திலும், பயத்திலும், மிகுந்த நடுக்கத்திலும் நான் உங்களுடன் இருந்தேன் என்று கொரிந்து சபைக்கு பவுல் எழுதினார் (1 கொரிந்தியர் 2:3). தீமோத்தேயு நற்செய்தியுடன் திரும்பி வந்ததிலிருந்து, பவுலுக்குப் புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்ட பலமும் வாழ்க்கையின் புத்துணர்ச்சியும் இருந்தது
ஒரு கடவுளின் ஊழியர், பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் தம்முடைய செவிசாய்ப்பவர்களைச் சந்தித்து, அவர்களை இறைவனை அறியச் செய்து, பரலோக அறிவில் அவர்களை உறுதிப்படுத்துவதைப் பார்க்கும்போது மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறார்.
பவுலின் மகிழ்ச்சி பொங்கி வழிந்தது, ஏனென்றால் கர்த்தருக்குள் சோதனைகளின் போது அவர்கள் தரையில் நிற்கிறார்கள் என்பதை அறிந்திருந்தார்.
மற்றவர்களின் வாழ்க்கையில் பொருள் செழிப்பில் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைவதை சிலர் எளிதாகக் காண்கிறார்கள், ஆனால் பால் நேர்மையாக மற்றவர்களின் ஆன்மீக செழுமையில் மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்தார்.
#3 பற்றாக்குறையை ஈடுசெய்தல்
பவுல் தீமோத்தேயு அவர்கள் இன்னும் இல்லாதவற்றில் தேவாலயத்துடன் இணைந்து பணியாற்ற விரும்பினார். அப்போஸ்தலன் அவர்களைத் திரும்பத் திரும்பப் பாராட்டினாலும் (1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 1:3, 1:7, 2:13, 2:19-20, மற்றும் 3:6), அவர்களுடைய விசுவாசத்தில் இல்லாதவற்றைப் பூரணப்படுத்தவும் (முழுமைப்படுத்த) அக்கறை கொண்டிருந்தார்.
தேவாலயம் அன்பாகவும் பரிசுத்தமாகவும் இருக்க உதவும் 2 பண்புகளை அவர் சுட்டிக்காட்டுகிறார்.
அன்பு என்பது கிறிஸ்தவ நம்பிக்கையின் இன்றியமையாத அடையாளம். இது அன்பற்ற தேவாலயம் அல்ல, ஆனால் அவர்கள் இன்னும் அன்பில் வளர இடம் இருந்தது.
பவுல் தெசலோனிக்கேய கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் மற்றும் அனைவருக்கும் அன்பு காட்ட வேண்டும் என்று தேடினார். இந்த அன்பு கடவுளின் குடும்பத்தில் தொடங்குகிறது, ஆனால் அது அப்பால் செல்ல வேண்டும்.

இதயத்தை முதலில் பரிசுத்தமாக்க வேண்டும். வெள்ளையடிக்கப்பட்ட கல்லறைகளைப் போல, மரணம் நிறைந்த உட்புறத்தைப் புறக்கணித்து, பரிசுத்த வெளிப்புறத்தை நாம் உருவாக்க வேண்டும் என்று பிசாசு விரும்புகிறார் (மத்தேயு 23:27).
அன்பான சகோதர சகோதரிகளே
இன்று நாம் கடவுளிடம் எடுத்துச் செல்லக்கூடிய ஏதாவது குறை இருக்கிறதா? தெசலோனியன் தேவாலயம் சிறப்பாக செயல்பட்டது, ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் பரிபூரணமாக முன்னேற வேண்டும் என்று பவுல் விரும்பினார்.
பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் உங்களை ஆக்கிரமிக்க முடியும் என்ற கடவுளின் வார்த்தை நம்மில் மூழ்க அனுமதிக்கிறோமா?

About Timothy
1 Thess 3:6 - 3:13
Paul wanted to be with the Thessalonians during their time of trial, since he could not go, he decided to send Timothy who was a trusted companion and fellow worker with Paul. [ 1 Tess 2:17-19 ]
Paul send him for 2 reasons – to establish and encourage the Thessalonians. However, there was another reason.
#1 Bring him back word
The third reason Paul sent Timothy to them was that he himself needed to know what was going on. Timothy would bring him back word.
To Paul's great relief, his work had not been in vain. It stood solid and sure. Their faith was intact; their love was evident; and, best of all, their trust in God was secure.
They held cherished memories of the apostle and longed to see him. He is filled with thankfulness and joy at this good news.
That is always the effect upon a father's heart when he receives good reports of his children in the faith.
It is how the Apostle John felt, as he tells us in his third letter: "I have no greater joy than this, than to hear that my children are walking in the truth," (3 John 1:4).
#2 Effect of the good news
Paul wrote to Corinth Church that I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling (1 Corinthians 2:3). Yet since Timothy came back with good news, Paul had a renewed strength and freshness of life
A servant of God is so full of delight as when he sees that the Holy Spirit is visiting his hearers, making them to know the Lord, and confirming them in that heavenly knowledge.
Paul’s joy overflowed because he knew that they did stand ground during trials in the Lord.
Some find it easy to rejoice in the material prosperity in the life of others, but Paul honestly rejoiced in the spiritual prosperity of others.
#3 Making up for the Lack
Paul wanted Timothy to work with the church on what they were still lacking. Though the apostle repeatedly complimented them (1 Thessalonians 1:3, 1:7, 2:13, 2:19-20, and 3:6), he was also concerned to perfect (complete) what is lacking in their faith.
He points out 2 attributes that can help the church being love and holiness.
Love is an essential mark of the Christian faith. This was not a loveless church, but they still had room to grown in love.
Paul looked for the Thessalonian Christians to show love to one another and to all. This love begins in the family of God, but it must go beyond.
Jesus told us that our love is small and shallow if we only love those who love us also (Matthew 5:46-47).
The heart must be made holy first. The devil wants us to develop a holy exterior while neglecting the interior, like whitewashed tombs, full of death (Matthew 23:27).
Dear brothers and Sisters
Do we lack anything that we can take to God today? The Thessalonian church was doing great, yet Paul wanted them to progress towards being perfect.
Are we allowing the word of God to sink in us that Holy Spirit can invade you?
Let us Pray
Dear lord, help us to be an encouragement for others. The times that we need to show love, Holy spirit you prompt us. The things in our life which we need to perfect, help us and give us the wisdom. In Jesus Name. Amen.

ஒரு தந்தையின் மகிழ்ச்சி

எங்கள் முந்தைய பக்தியிலிருந்து, பவுலின் விருப்பம் மீண்டும் தேவாலயத்தை நேரில் சந்திப்பதாக இருந்தது என்பதை நாங்கள் புரிந்துகொள்கிறோம். ஆனால் அவர் தடைபட்டார்.
இது சாத்தானின் தடை என்பதை பவுல் புரிந்துகொண்டார். ஆனால் அவர் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருந்தார், மேலும் அவர் சாலைத் தடைகளை வெல்லும் வரை சிறிது காலம் மட்டுமே இருக்கும் என்று அறிந்திருந்தார்.

#1 மகிமை மற்றும் மகிழ்ச்சி
தெசலோனிக்கா மற்றும் பிற இடங்களில் உள்ள இந்த விசுவாசிகளின் ஆன்மீக முதிர்ச்சியைப் பற்றி பவுல் கருதினார்.
நம் வாழ்வில் கூட, நம் நேரத்தை மற்றவர்களின் வாழ்வில் முதலீடு செய்யும்போது, அவர்களின் வாழ்க்கையில் ஏற்பட்ட மாற்றங்களால் நாம் அடைந்த மகிழ்ச்சியில் பிரகாசிப்போம்.

ஒருவேளை பவுல் தனக்கு பரலோகத்தில் கிரீடம் தேவையில்லை என்று கூறுவார், நாம் யாரை இயேசுவிடம் கொண்டு வருகிறோம், சீடர்கள் நமக்கு வெற்றியின் கிரீடம்.
தெசலோனிக்கேயர்களின் விசாரணையின் போது பவுல் அவர்களுடன் இருக்க விரும்பினார், அவரால் செல்ல முடியாததால், பவுலுடன் நம்பகமான தோழனாகவும் சக ஊழியராகவும் இருந்த தீமோத்தேயுவை அனுப்ப முடிவு செய்தார்.
பவுல் தீமோத்தேயு இரண்டு காரியங்களைச் செய்ய விரும்பினார் - தெசலோனிக்கேயர்களை நிலைநாட்டவும் ஊக்கப்படுத்தவும்.
#2 அவர்களை விசுவாசத்தில் நிலைநிறுத்தவும்
தீமோத்தேயு அவர்களின் நம்பிக்கையின் மீது தங்கியிருக்கும் பெரிய உண்மைகளை அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்க வேண்டும் என்று பவுல் விரும்பினார்.
இயேசுவின் வருகை, அவருடைய வாழ்க்கை மற்றும் ஊழியம், சிலுவையில் மரணம்.
அவரது உயிர்த்தெழுதல், பரிசுத்த ஆவியின் வருகை, இதனால் உலகம் எதையும் அறிய முடியாத கடவுளில் ஒரு புதிய ஆதாரம் அவர்களுக்குக் கிடைக்கிறது.
தெசலோனிக்கேயர் தங்கள் விசுவாசத்தில் அசைந்திருந்தால், பவுல் அவர்கள் மத்தியில் அவர் செய்த வேலை வீணாகிவிட்டதாக கருதுவார்.

தெசலோனிக்கேயர் வாடிப்போயிருந்தால், அவர்களில் ஒரு விவசாயியாக பவுலின் கடின உழைப்பு அறுவடை இல்லாமல் இருந்திருக்கும்.
தெசலோனிக்கர்கள் அந்த சத்தியத்தில் நிலைநிறுத்தப்பட வேண்டும், அதுவே தீமோத்தேயுவின் பணி.
#3 நிலைத்தன்மையை ஊக்குவிக்கவும்
தேவாலயம் உறுதியான நிலைக்கு அறிவுறுத்தப்பட வேண்டும், விஷயங்கள் கடினமாக இருக்கும்போது பீதி அடையக்கூடாது. துன்பங்களையும் கஷ்டங்களையும் சமாளிக்க முடியும் என்பதை தேவாலயம் ஒருபோதும் மறக்கக்கூடாது.
துன்பம் என்றால் கடவுள் நம்பிக்கையாளர் மீது கோபம் கொள்கிறார் என்று சிலர் நம்புகிறார்கள். உண்மை என்னவென்றால், துன்பம் என்பது கடவுள் நம்மை நேசிக்கிறார், நாம் எளிதானதை மட்டுமே விரும்பும்போது சிறந்ததைக் கொடுக்க வேண்டும்.
கிறிஸ்தவத்தின் சின்னம் சிலுவை, இறகு படுக்கை அல்ல. இயேசுவைப் பின்தொடர்வதன் ஒரு பகுதியே துன்பம்; எனவே, கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் துன்பத்திற்கு நியமிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள் என்பதை பவுல் அங்கீகரித்தார்.
இந்த உபத்திரவத்தின் கீழ் தெசலோனிக்கேயர்களின் விசுவாசம் நொறுங்கக்கூடும் என்பதை பவுல் உணர்ந்தார், எனவே அவர் தீமோத்தேயுவை அவர்களைச் சரிபார்க்கவும் அவர்களுக்கு உதவவும் அனுப்பினார்.
இதன் மூலம், தெசலோனிக்கர்கள் நிறுவப்பட்டு ஊக்குவிக்கப்பட்டனர்; இந்த துன்பங்களால் அவர்கள் அசைக்கப்பட மாட்டார்கள்.

சில துன்பங்களின் காரணமாக பின்வாங்காத வேறொருவருக்காக விரைவாக செயல்பட பவுலைப் போல இருக்க நாம் தயாராக உள்ளோமா?
சாத்தான் உங்கள் வாழ்க்கையில் துன்பத்தின் பருவத்தை பயன்படுத்தி விட்டுக்கொடுக்க விரும்புவான்.
விசுவாசிகளின் வாழ்க்கையில் துன்பத்தைப் பற்றிய உண்மையை நன்கு புரிந்து கொள்ளாமல், நம் நம்பிக்கையில் நாம் அசைக்கப்படும் பெரும் ஆபத்தில் இருக்கிறோம்.
கஷ்டங்கள் அதிகமாக இருக்கும்போது, நம்முடைய விசுவாசத்தில் நாம் பலவீனமடைகிறோமா? கடவுள் நம்மோடு இருக்கிறார் என்பதற்காக உறுதியாக இருங்கள் (எரே 1:19). நம்முடைய அஸ்திவாரங்கள் பலமாக இருப்பதை அறிந்தால், நாம் அசைக்கப்பட மாட்டோம்.

A Father's Joy
1 Thess 2:17 - 3:5
From our previous devotion, we understand that Paul`s desire was to meet the church again in person. But he was hindered.
Paul understood that this was Satanic hindrance. But he had faith and knew it would only be a short time until he can overcome the roadblocks.
Paul assured the Thessalonians that he could never forget them because they were his glory and his joy.
#1 Our Glory and Joy
Paul considered the spiritual maturing of these believers in Thessalonica and other places he has invested in their lives for growth towards maturity.
Even in our lives, when we invest our time into the lives of other, we will glow with joy that we have achieved through changes in their life.
We will receive the crown of glory 1 Pet 5:2 – 4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away
Perhaps Paul would say that he didn’t need a crown in heaven those whom we bring to Jesus and disciple are a crown of victory for us.
Paul wanted to be with the Thessalonians during their time of trial, since he could not go, he decided to send Timothy who was a trusted companion and fellow worker with Paul.
Paul wanted Timothy to do two things – to establish and encourage the Thessalonians.
#2 Establish them in faith
Paul wanted Timothy to teach them the great realities their faith rested upon.
The coming of Jesus, his life and ministry, his death upon the cross.
His resurrection, the coming of the Holy Spirit, and thus the availability to them of a new resource in God that the world could not know anything about.
If the Thessalonians did waver in their faith, Paul would consider his work among them to have been in vain.
In the parable of the soils (Matthew 13:1-23) Jesus described the seed that withered under the heat of trials.
If the Thessalonians withered, Paul’s hard work as a farmer among them would have born no harvest.
The Thessalonians needed to be established in that truth, and that was Timothy's mission.
#3 Encourage Stability
The church needed to be exhorted to steadiness, to not panic when things got tough. The church should never forget that suffering and hardship could be overcome.
Some believe that affliction means God is angry at the believer. The truth is that affliction means that God loves us enough to give the best when we may only desire what is easy.
The symbol of Christianity is the cross, not a feather bed. Affliction is just part of following Jesus; therefore, Paul recognized that Christians are appointed to affliction.
Paul realized that the faith of the Thessalonians might crumble under this season of affliction, so he sent Timothy to both check on them and to help them.
Through this, the Thessalonians were established and encouraged; they would not be shaken by these afflictions.
Dear brothers and Sisters
Are we willing to be like Paul to quickly act for the sake of someone else who might not backslide because of some afflictions?
Satan will want to exploit the season of suffering in your life to give up.
Without a good understanding of the truth concerning suffering in the life of the believer, we are in great danger of being shaken in our faith.
When hardship abound us, are we being weakened in our faith? Stand firm for God is with us (Jer 1:19). When we know our foundations are strong, we will not be shaken.
Let us Pray

1 தெசஸ் 2:13-20
மர்மமான வார்த்தை
எரேமியா, "அவருடைய எலும்புகளில் எரிவது போல்" கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை தனக்கு வந்தது என்று கூறுகிறார், எரேமியா 20:9).
எலியா கர்த்தரின் வார்த்தை "ஒரு சிறிய குரல்" (1 இராஜாக்கள் 19:12) போல் தன்னிடம் வந்தது என்று அறிவித்தார்.
"இரவில் தரிசனங்களிலும் கனவுகளிலும்" கர்த்தர் தன்னிடம் பேசியதாக டேனியல் கூறினார் (டேனியல் 2:9, 7:2, 8:2, 10:8)
கர்த்தர் தன்னுடன் உரையாடியபோது, "ஒரு மனிதன் தன் நண்பர்களுடன் பேசுவது போல" (யாத்திராகமம் 33:11) அவனிடம் பேசினான் என்று மோசே கூறினார்.
#1 அதிகாரம்
கர்த்தர் மனிதனிடம் பேசியதையும்,கர்த்தரின் இந்த வார்த்தையை நாங்கள் பதிவு செய்துள்ளோம் என்பதையும் பவுல் தீவிரமாக நம்பினார், மற்றவர்களுக்கு கற்பித்தார்.
நித்தியத்தின் அதிகாரத்துடன் மனிதகுலத்திற்கு கர்த்தரின் வார்த்தையைப் பேசுவதை பவுல் நம்பினார், அது வெறும் மனித கருத்துக்கு மேல் பேசுகிறது.
இன்று முதல் கர்த்தரின் வார்த்தை நம்மிடம் உள்ளது, அதிகாரத்தின் உண்மையான குரல் நம்மிடம் உள்ளது.
#2 துன்பங்கள்
அவர்கள் சுவிசேஷத்திற்காக துன்பங்களை அனுபவிக்க தயாராக இருந்தனர்,
ஏனென்றால் பவுல் அவர்களுக்கு மனிதனின் வார்த்தையை அல்ல, ஆனால் கடவுளின் வார்த்தையைக் கொண்டு வந்தார் என்று அவர்கள் உறுதியாக நம்பினர்.
மனிதனின் வார்த்தை துன்பத்திற்கு தகுதியானது அல்ல, ஆனால் கர்த்தரின் உண்மையான செய்தி மதிப்புக்குரியது.
இப்படிப்பட்ட துன்பத்தில் தவிக்கும் கிறிஸ்தவர்களுக்கு பவுல் ஆறுதல் கூறினார்.
கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு துன்புறுத்தலை எதிர்கொண்டார், யூதேயாவில் உள்ள கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் அதை முதலில் எதிர்கொண்டனர்.
#3 தீய சக்திகளால் தடை
தேவாலயத்தை மீண்டும் நேரில் சந்திக்க வேண்டும் என்பது பவுலின் விருப்பம். ஆனால் அவர் தடைபட்டார்.
இது சாத்தான் கொண்டுவரும் தடை என்பதை பவுல் புரிந்துகொண்டார்.
இது சாத்தானின் நேரடித் தாக்குதல் என்பதை அறியும் பகுத்தறிவு அவருக்கு இருந்தது.
பவுல் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருந்தார், மேலும் அவர் சாலைத் தடைகளை கடக்க சிறிது காலம் மட்டுமே இருக்கும் என்று அறிந்திருந்தார்.
கர்த்தர் வெற்றியைக் கொண்டு வந்தார். அப்போஸ்தலர் 20:1-5 பவுல் தெசலோனிக்காவிற்கும் மற்ற தேவாலயங்களுக்கும் திரும்பியதை விவரிக்கிறது.
விண்ணப்பம்
சுவிசேஷத்தைப் பகிர்ந்துகொள்ளும் ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனும் அதைக் கவனமாகப் புரிந்துகொண்டு தன்னை ஆராய்ந்து பார்க்க வேண்டும்.
அதிகாரத்துடன் உண்மையைப் பேச நாம் தயாராக இருக்க வேண்டும்.
நற்செய்தியின் பொருட்டு நாம் துன்பப்படுவதற்கு தயாராக இருக்க வேண்டும்.
ராஜ்ஜியத்தின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்கு நாம் எப்போதும் தீய சக்திகளுக்கு எதிராக போராட வேண்டும்.

The Mysterious Word
1 Thess 2:13- 20
Jeremiah says that the Word of God came to him like a "burning in his bones," Jeremiah 20:9).
Elijah declared that the Word of God came to him like "a still small voice," (1 Kings 19:12).
Daniel said that God spoke to him in "visions and dreams in the night" (Daniel2:9, 7:2, 8:2, 10:8)
Moses said that when God communicated with him, he spoke to him "face-to-face, like a man speaks with his friends," (Exodus 33:11).
#1 Authority
Paul earnestly believed and taught others that God had spoken to man and that we have recorded this word of God.
Paul believed in speaking God`s word to mankind with authority of eternity, that speaks above mere human opinion.
Since today we do have this word of God, we have a true voice of authority.
#2 Sufferings
They were willing to undergo suffering for the sake of the Gospel because they were convinced that Paul brought them not the word of man, but the Word of God.
The word of man isn’t worth suffering for, but a true message from God is worth it.
Paul comforted these suffering Christians with the assurance that they were not the first to suffer this way.
The Lord Jesus faced persecution, and the Christians in Judea faced it first.
#3 Hindered by Evil forces
Paul`s desire was to meet the church again in person. But he was hindered.
Paul understood that this was Satanic hindrance. He had the discernment to know this was a direct attack from Satan.
Paul had faith and knew it would only be a short time until he can overcome the roadblocks.
God brought the victory. Acts 20:1-5 describes Paul’s eventual return to Thessalonica and to other churches in the area.
Application
Every man who shares the Gospel should carefully understand and examine himself by it.
We must be willing to speak the truth with authority.
We must be willing to suffer if needed for the sake of the gospel.
We must fight against evil forces for advancement of the kingdom always.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for the ability that you have given us to endure and to speak with authority, stand against the evil forces. IN Jesus Name. Amen.

Bible Verse:1 Thessalonians 2:1-12
Title: Whatever became of Integrity?
Paul always demonstrates tremendous courage in his ministry.
In Philippi he was being mocked, insulted, and shamefully treated but he had the courage to face it.
Paul is delusional” (1 Thessalonians 2:3, error).
Paul’s ministry is based on impure motives” (1 Thessalonians 2:3, uncleanness).
Paul deliberately deceives others” (1 Thessalonians 2:3, in deceit).
Paul preaches to please others, not God” (1 Thessalonians 2:4, not as pleasing men).
Paul is in the ministry as a mercenary, to get what he can out of it materially” (1 Thessalonians 2:5, 2:9, nor a cloak for covetousness).
Paul only wants personal glory” (1 Thessalonians 2:6, nor did we seek glory from men).
Paul is something of a dictator” (1 Thessalonians 2:7 we were gentle among you).
He did not come to Thessalonica pushing a particular private revelation or doctrine.
It was the truth of God, confirmed by the prophets and by Jesus Christ himself that he preached.
The purity of Paul’s message made it apparent that there was no deceit, uncleanness, or guile in his ministry.
He gloried in the fact that God had called him to deliver a message that people desperately needed.
We have already been given the greatest honour that can ever be given to a human being, to proclaim what Paul calls "the unsearchable riches of Christ," (Ephesians 3:8).
The only reason anyone has a desire to please God is because he has learned to love him.
Paul knew his Gospel wouldn’t always please men, but he knew that it was pleasing to God.
Paul tried to make the Gospel as attractive as possible, but he never changed its central character or focus.
Paul never compromised issues like man’s need, God’s Savior, the cross, the resurrection, and the new life.
Paul could be stern and sharp, but when he was with someone alone, he was gentle.
That is a mark of a true shepherd. Paul’s gentle, humble attitude among the Thessalonians demonstrated his motives were pure.
Paul’s preaching was effective because he gave not only the Gospel, but himself as well (also our own lives), and he gave because of love
He is always righteous before others as he behaved himself, resisting things which could be misconstrued or which would tend to mislead.
Paul did not think of himself as sinless but he is honest and has dealt with all his sin.
Aware of it, he judges it and does something about it, he does not cover it over because he knows, as he puts it, "God tests the heart."
Paul’s own behavior and message to the Thessalonians demonstrates the integrity of his character before God and man.
It is impressive that Paul could freely appeal to his own life as an example. Paul didn’t have to say, “Please don’t look at my life. Look to Jesus.” Paul wanted people to look to Jesus, but he could also tell them to look at his life, because the power of Jesus was real in his life.
God knows what is going on inside so Paul is strictly honest with himself, does not deceive himself, but confesses his wrong and so is blameless.
When we are facing times of great danger and crisis, but these are also times of great possibilities. We must not be shaken , rather look unto God , he is with us.
Let’s Pray:
Heavenly Father, give us courage, a loving and gentle heart, and a faithful spirit so that we will be like Paul and always demonstrate these qualities to others. Make us a blessing , in Jesus name we pray. Amen.

1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 1:1-10
மாறிய வாழ்க்கை
பவுல் தனது இரண்டாவது மிஷனரி பயணத்தில் தெசலோனிக்காவில் தேவாலயத்தை நிறுவினார் (அப்போஸ்தலர் 17:1-9).
நற்செய்தியின் எதிரிகளால் அவர் வெளியேற்றப்பட்டதால், அவர் நகரத்தில் சிறிது நேரம் மட்டுமே இருந்தார். ஆயினும் தெசலோனிக்கரின் தேவாலயம் உயிரோடும் சுறுசுறுப்புடனும் தொடர்ந்தது.
பவுல் திடீரென்று இந்த இளம் தேவாலயத்தை விட்டு வெளியேற வேண்டியிருந்தாலும், அவர்கள் மீதான அவரது ஆழ்ந்த அக்கறை இந்த கடிதத்தைத் தூண்டியது.
ஐரோப்பிய கிறிஸ்தவர்களுக்கு அவர் எழுதிய முதல் கட்டுரை இதுவாகும், மேலும் அதில் கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்க்கையின் அடிப்படை விஷயங்கள் மிகத் தெளிவாகக் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளன.
அங்குள்ள மக்கள் இயேசுவைப் பற்றிய நற்செய்தியைக் கண்டறிந்ததாலும், அவர்கள் புதிய விசுவாசிகளாக இருந்ததால் தங்களை மாற்றிக் கொள்வதற்கான வழியினாலும் அவர் இந்தக் கடிதத்தை எழுதினார்.
நாம் கிறிஸ்துவிடம் வந்திருந்தால், நாம் முதன்மையாக கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிலும், பிதாவாகிய கடவுளிலும் புதிய படைப்பாகக் காணப்பட வேண்டும்.
பவுல் இந்த விசுவாசிகளுக்காக ஜெபத்தில் தொடர்ந்து நன்றி செலுத்துகிறார், மூன்று விஷயங்களுக்காக: அவர்களின் நம்பிக்கை, அவர்களின் அன்பு மற்றும் அவர்களின் நம்பிக்கை.
நம்பிக்கை உங்களைத் தவறானவற்றிலிருந்து சரியானதை நோக்கி, இருண்ட மற்றும் புண்படுத்தும் விஷயங்களிலிருந்து சரியான மற்றும் உண்மை மற்றும் விஷயங்களுக்குத் திரும்ப வைக்கிறது. மேலும், குறிப்பாக, விசுவாசம் உங்களை சிலை வழிபாட்டிலிருந்து கடவுளிடம் திருப்பும்.

கடவுளின் ஆவி மனித ஆவியை நிரப்புகிறது, மேலும் அவர் நம் மனதையும் இதயத்தையும் உள்ளிருந்து ஊழியம் செய்யத் தொடங்குகிறார், இந்த நிகழ்வுகளைப் புரிந்துகொள்ள அவற்றைத் திறக்கிறார்.
சுவிசேஷம் பரிசுத்த ஆவியால் வந்தது மற்றும் சக்தியின் பின்னால் கடவுளின் உண்மை இருந்தது, அவருடைய ஆவி மனித ஆவியைத் தொட முடியும்.

ஆனால் பவுல் கூறுகிறார், அவர்கள் இந்த துன்பங்களை ஒரு புதிய வழியில் பார்க்க கற்றுக்கொண்டனர்.
இதன் விளைவாக மகிழ்ச்சி, பரிசுத்த ஆவியால் ஈர்க்கப்பட்ட மகிழ்ச்சி.
“நான் போனால் மறுபடியும் வந்து உங்களை என்னிடத்தில் சேர்த்துக்கொள்வேன்” (யோவான் 14:3) என்று இயேசு வாக்களித்தபடியே இன்று நாம் நம்பிக்கையோடு வாழ்கிறோம்.
இந்தக் கடிதங்கள் முழுவதிலும் கடவுள் அந்த "வரவிருக்கும் கோபத்திலிருந்து" தம்முடைய சொந்தத்தை விடுவிக்க ஒரு திட்டத்தை வைத்திருப்பதை நாம் அறிந்துகொள்கிறோம். உலகத்தின் நெருங்கி வரும் நெருக்கடியிலும் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் வெற்றி பெறுவார்கள்.
இயேசு இந்த பூமிக்கு திரும்பும்போது கிறிஸ்துவின் ராஜ்யம் வரும் என்றாலும், அவர் ஏற்கனவே நம்முடன் இருக்கிறார். அவர் நம்மை வழிநடத்துகிறார், நிறைவேற்றுகிறார், நமக்கு ஊழியம் செய்கிறார், நம்மைக் காத்து வருகிறார், இப்போதும் நம்மை ஆளுகிறார்.
பிரார்த்தனை செய்வோம்:
பரலோகத் தகப்பனே, கிருபையினால் விசுவாசத்தினாலே நாம் பிதாவாகிய தேவனிலும் நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிலும் நிலைத்திருக்கிறோம் என்ற இந்த சிறிய வேத வசனத்தில் உள்ள ஆச்சரியமான உண்மைக்கு நன்றி. உமது கரத்தில் நாங்கள் பாதுகாப்பாக இருக்கிறோம் என்பதற்கும், மேலே வானத்திலோ கீழே உள்ள பூமியிலோ எதுவும் எங்களை உங்களிடமிருந்து பிரிக்க முடியாது என்பதற்கு நன்றி. இயேசுவின் நாமத்தில் ஜெபிக்கிறோம், ஆமென்.
