Valley of Dry Bones: Touched by God’s Spirit  Part II

Ezekiel 37

 The Lord asked Ezekiel to Prophesy to these bones. When he prophesied the tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

But there was no life until the prophet prophesied that according to God’s word, from the four corners the Spirit of God will become breath, will breathe into the nostrils of the flesh and give them life.

God told Ezekiel to again speak life into the dry bones. The the moment he spoke, the breath of God gave life to it.

The separated Bones came together and formed complete skeletons. The marrow and sinews appeared over the bones, connecting them.

The breath of God surged into their bodies and jolted them giving them much-needed power, movement, and life again. They came to life and their numbers were enough to be as large as an army.

What was a useless, barren desolate situation for these dead creatures? It needs the touch of the Maker to restore and energize their dead existence into something useful. The naturally dead became alive supernaturally.

 

How much more for us in our daily lives are we bogged down or chained by our day-to-day worries, doubts, fears, that we need the Maker’s touch to reboot our systems, re-energize our faith.

A light bulb will not light up in an electric circuit even if all the wires, connections, plugs are proper and correctly set up/installed unless there is an electrical current running through it. Even with all the right connections, unless the current is passing through, there will be no light in the bulb.

John 8:12 Jesus said: I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.

So, it is for us too that we need to draw our current, our light from Jesus. In so doing, we will have life. We will have supernatural energy, through the breath of the Holy Spirit, we can overcome our empty conditions, hopeless situations and receive God’s anointing.

The breath of God was coming in from 4 corners of the earth symbolizing that God’s Spirit is over our homes, over our nation, over our whole earth. 

This is the original state that God wants the whole world to be in its original setting, the Creator’s setting. In the beginning, the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. (Gen 1:1&2).

Then sin and death entered through Adam and Eve and altered the setting.  Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people because all sinned— (Rom 5:12). But through Christ, we received Life, we were redeemed.

In Ezekiel 37:24, God makes a clear reference to the future that Israel would be under Jesus Christ the Messiah, a descendant of David. This was a glorious future for Israel who went through internal strife between Judah and Jerusalem, facing threats from foreign nations.

(John 1:1-5) – V. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. Jesus came so that he might restore us back to the original setting to be there in union with our Father in heaven.

This is our purpose, our destiny, and the blessing for all generations, should we choose to accept it, and run with it and fight the good fight and run a good race. was there (2 Tim 4:7-8). But we need the Holy Spirit to fill us, nurture us, and make us mature day by day. Amen.

Prayer - Heavenly Father, we thank you that you have raised up prophets to speak to all the dead situations in our lives and the lives of our children, our families, and friends. Today, O Lord we ask that you pour a special anointing on all of us that we may rise for you. Let your word go through bone, marrow, sinew and transform us completely. Make us ready for your purposes and let your will for us, O Lord be done according to your word. Amen!
