Let God parents us

In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33.

With lockdown, multiple and staggered schedules, managing the house today seems a much tougher job along with raising children than what our parents would have done.

In today`s scenario, yes we might feel overwhelmed too.

The challenge today is how many Yes do we say and how many No per day. 

The children today have become very agile, active, and highly demanding to our capacity. 

They are ahead of us in progress and growth, mentally, socially, and intellectually.

The culture from their peers seems to shape their thoughts today, like our generation, however, today they are faced with the daunting task of finding the right culture.

We have one culture at home, they have to cope up with another culture at schools and universities. They must also learn how to cope with multiple cultures.

The influence of music such a k-pop, J-pop, English pop culture, dress code, and much more.

As a result, parents face daunting and often discouraging tasks. But, t’s not a new challenge.

Even in biblical times, the apostle Paul advised that “the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. 1 Corinthians 3:19.

Wise men and women including fathers and mothers have never set their hearts or hopes on values that govern a culture.

Instead, they fix on the eternal values of the world above, knowing that the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.  John 12:25.

You can win the battle for your kids.

A good start is to focus on the eternal goal and trust the mighty power of God will overrule all cultures through your persistent prayer.

You are not alone as a parent. Let us pray together and win together as parents.
